new toy, new beginnings

There's no indecency going on here. Red just likes to nod off on top of his favorite toy. Don't fight it, Red. Just close 'em:

i blame it on the tryptophan

A little late post regarding Thanksgiving.

As you know, we started the vacation out with a little football. Who needs cheerleaders when you got this guy on free towel night?

What's better than a free towel(lette)? Seeing my favorite NFL player and commercial superstar, Payton Manning:

I also got my first taste of college football. I've really never seen anything like it. We were on our feet well into the 2nd half of the game. Go bees:

If there was ever a reason to move to Atlanta, it's got to be the food: Krystal, Waffle House, the Varsity, Martins. That and staying in the Left's parents' basement. All jokes aside, it really was nice down there!

All in all, we had a great time out there. Red and Skip warmed up to eachother nicely (although most of the time, they just ignored one another). Skip even managed to sneek in a few kisses here and there when he thought no one was watching.

Once we arrived back in LA, all Red wanted to do was get into his comfy clothes and guard his favorite toy:

Whitney from "The Hills" at the Marc Jacobs store on Melrose; Michael Rappaport and his two sons at Merry Karnowsky Gallery's Shepard Fairey exhibit; Judy Greer from "13 Going on 30" at Tom Bergins on Fairfax. Alone. Wondering what went wrong with her life.

Kidding.

we've been busy

Between Chicago, Atlanta, video premiers and sales meetings, the Left and I have been busy. Not crazy busy, but busy nevertheless. And even though I owe the blog a couple posts and pictures regarding the aforementioned events, this one I just had to sneak in. Big art show this weekend at the Lab 101. And...well, the red dot in the picture below says it all:

Congratulations, Big Shot, and thanks to everyone that made it out.

recap

Just got my shipment from usbgeek.com which means posting may now resume. I was going to write something about how the Left, Red and I had taken a brief hiatus from the blog to show our support for the writers' strike but that would have been a lie and in poor taste. So here's what we've been up to:

We went to Chicago (Red went to camp) to support our friend Chris and the launch of his new magazine, annalemma:

There was a reading at a classy bar, along with some classy patrons:

We were somewhat prepared for the weather:

...but not at all prepared for the amazing wallpaper at the local watering hole:

Nor the headless chicken at the zoo:

And the Freedom Museum in downtown gave us a glimpse into the future:

And Red? He spent the weekend brushing up on his obedience skills (check out his little tail, he's so excited):

Sometimes he gets so excited, he starts the tricks before you can get the commands out:
