We went to Chicago (Red went to camp) to support our friend Chris and the launch of his new magazine, annalemma:

There was a reading at a classy bar, along with some classy patrons:

We were somewhat prepared for the weather:

...but not at all prepared for the amazing wallpaper at the local watering hole:

Nor the headless chicken at the zoo:

And the Freedom Museum in downtown gave us a glimpse into the future:

And Red? He spent the weekend brushing up on his obedience skills (check out his little tail, he's so excited):
Sometimes he gets so excited, he starts the tricks before you can get the commands out:
